The latest episode finds Ahsoka in desperation when she loses her lightsaber.  Bad, bad jedi.  I had reservations about season 2, but alas it was just the misleading trailers that made it seem like it was all about the bounty hunters.  Luckily they are in their proper place; as a colorful, occasional anecdote.

Wow, ok i am blown away.  I just finished trade 4 of the luna brothers "girls".  unbelievable read.  i love these guys.  their book "ultra" was great, and now I'm looking to read "sword".  if you like comics, that are not kid stuff, but real stories, stuff that should be in the movies or on hbo, then check these guys out.  story, art, dialog.  it all blew my mind.

The manga of Makoto Kobayashi.  I just love this guy.  he's got a great sense of humor, comes up with wonderful stories involving cats, dogs and humans, and at least a quarter of the characters are smoking cigarettes in this comic.  fun for the whole family.

we need a huge omnibus of this stuff, some of the what's michael manga is out of print and hard to find.

the kid and I had a blast opening tons of magic the gathering booster packs last night, and we celebrated the release of the newest magic set by competing in today's tournament at a local shop.  we both lost horribly.  but magic kicks ass.
